Cultivation details
Sow from January to mid-April in standard seed compost having soaked the seed in a warm place overnight. Space the seeds 1 inch apart and cover lightly with compost. Water, then cover somewhere warm. When the seedlings emerge, move to a warm place out of direct sun, but still with light. Water from below and keep moist. When the seedlings set a 2nd set of leaves, transplant then to 3 inch pots. Repot as required, as the plants get bigger, ending with a 9 or 10 inch pot. Feed with tomato or chilli fertiliser weekly, once the fruit starts setting.
