Product Details

Chatsworth Kitchen Garden is a three-acre walled garden that
has provided the house and estate with seasonal fruits and culinary herbs since 1549. With select botanicals sourced from the garden and a banana leaf from the Cavendish bananas, this classic London dry gin is distilled by Peak Ales on the
Chatsworth Estate.

About the Cavendish Banana

The Cavendish banana was brought to Chatsworth in 1820 by the
6th Duke of Devonshire’s head gardener, Joseph Paxton. Paxton named the banana plant Musa Cavenishii after his employer, William George Spencer Cavendish. Today all export bananas and almost half of all bananas grown worldwide are from the dwarf Cavendish cultivar.
