The story behind Gardener’s Tap

In 1760 a brewery was built on the Chatsworth Estate and - to avoid moving barrels - a pipe was constructed to carry beer straight to the house, through the garden. When the pipe was removed hundreds of years later, it was found that the gardeners had tapped into it, so they could enjoy the odd pint or two.

Brewed in Derbyshire by Peak Ales, Gardener's Tap Ale pays homage to this tale and those who have nurtured the land for generations.
