The Housekeepers of Chatsworth Range
Our nostalgic range of traditional, effective homeware products is inspired by the Housekeepers of Chatsworth’s past. With a focus on locally made, natural formulations, these products take you back to a simpler time, without the use of harsh chemicals found in modern cleaning products.
To research this range, we looked through the Chatsworth archives to see real housekeepers lists and took the behind-the-scenes tour through the Old Kitchen and storerooms. This helped us understand what to include and inspired the historical packaging designs.
We have ensured everything is made from traditional formulations without the harsh chemicals found in modern cleaning products. Most products are made locally, such as the beeswax furniture and leather balms which are made in Sheffield, and the odour neutralising soy-wax candle which is made in Derbyshire.
The packaging has a nostalgic, authentic feel which compliments the simple effective nature of the products – whilst giving a sense of the hidden past below stairs at Chatsworth.
