Artist Lucy Loveheart has always been fascinated by Chatsworth and the life of Duchess Georgiana. Lucy was inspired to create a number of paintings including Tea and Biscuits on the Lawn, an imaginary scene referencing the Duchess Georgiana portrait by Thomas Gainsborough which hangs in the house. In her painting Lucy celebrates the Duchess as an icon of her day and depicts her enjoying a tranquil moment taking afternoon tea.
