'Pride & Prejudice' by Lucy Loveheart
It is believed that Jane Austen may have based her idea of Pemberley on Chatsworth House and written the novel while in Bakewell. Chatsworth was used as Pemberley, the residence of Mr Darcy, in the 2005 film.
When Lucy visited Chatsworth House for the first time, she was immediately captivated by the magic of this national landmark. Chatsworth was used as Pemberley, the residence of Mr Darcy in the film of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Lucy has imagined Miss Bennett and Mr Darcy meeting on the lawn at Chatsworth, with beautiful creatures all around sharing in the special moment!
